The Shoreham Heavy Horse Show

The Heavy Horse Show is The Lions Club at Sevenoaks main fund raising event of the year. It generates between
£12,500 and £17,500 to support their work in the community. The event is fun for all
the family. It combines demonstrations by heavy horses, the engines of England before
steam power, with activities for children, a craft fair, a whole range of stalls
with local products and a range of fast food booths. There are also displays of veteran
cars, motorcycles, tractors and static engines. It attracts around 5,000 visitors
each year.

A Cobnut is a type of hazelnut traditionally grown in Kent. They are
harvested in their green state from mid August and with brown shells and
husks by mid October. All the Cobnuts are sold dehusked from mid October onward.
